It appears to me we have just bought two new top notch centre-backs for about four million quid. Must be one heck of an app must that one sinkov.

This is the most amazing thing about it, these players we're signing are cheap, dirt cheap by PL standards, we couldn't sign players this cheap in the old 31st August Trolly Dash. And they are bloody good players, far better than we have any right to expect at the price. It's almost biblical, turning water into wine, or feeding 5,000 with a loaf and 3 fishes. Who is behind this, who is finding these players in the first place, and who is negotiating the deals, getting them over the line so efficiently, at such bargain prices ? Whoever it is, I hope he's on a long term contract.

I thought we may struggle today with our Lynch pin that goes by the name Muric unavailable, but wow what a win! The new guy Ekdal looks so good on the ball. The only maybe worrying aspect with him is maybe a lack of pace. We will see, great debut.
Thought Barnes was just unbelievably good today.
The way Beyer brings the ball out is fantastic. What a team we have. What a management team as well. Long may it continue because it is truly awesome to watch. Oh a mention for Maatsan too, what a player.

It’s difficult to point a finger at anyone in our team tbh , but I’ll mention the two I mentioned on another thread, Cullen - for a slight lad he’s so strong and his engine is amazing - just gets himself in exactly the right place All the time which is a special skill to have.

    Maatsen

I ve run out of superlatives for this lad he really does have everything, pace - power - skill balance and a little nasty streak built in , all the attributes required to be a top footballer, I hope we can sign him at the end of the season I believe he could be a real star of the future.

Agree with you on the Maatsen description army88, this lad really is the real deal and Chelsea are in such a mess at present we might just nick him. Fingers crossed eh?

Maybe we'll never know who's the genius behind all these signings, but if his identity is ever discovered, of one thing you can be certain, he will not be an American.

Why not give credit to VK, it's more than a coincidence that we get all these players since he was appointed.

It's too big a job for one man k_c, I have no doubt whatsoever the "Kompany logo" might be a deciding factor in a player signing, but here is Alan Pace's early vision...

Absolutely, "no credit where it's due" mantra from you eh sinkov?

The turnaround in Burnley's fortunes since Pace shifted Garlick and Co is astonishing.
