Nottingham Forrest- v - Leeds United *** Matchday Thread***

    TEAM NEWS

Nottingham Forest could give debuts to new signings such as Keylor Navas, Andre Ayew and Felipe.

Midfielder Ryan Yates remains out through illness but is expected to resume training in a couple of weeks.

Leeds will be without Rodrigo for two months because of an ankle injury, while Robin Koch is suspended after accumulating five yellow cards.

USA international Weston McKennie could make his debut after joining on loan from Juventus.

Crysencio Summerville, Liam Cooper, Tyler Adams and Pascal Struijk return from injury but Adam Forshaw and Stuart Dallas are still out.

Record signing Georginio Rutter is set to play his first Premier League game.

    MATCH FACTS

    Head-to-head

Leeds are winless in 12 top-flight matches away to Nottingham Forest since a 2-0 victory in November 1971, when Peter Lorimer and Allan Clarke were on target (D7, L5).

The Whites' only previous top-flight wins away to Forest all came with either Don Revie as manager (five victories between 1966 and 1971) or Revie in the starting line-up as a player (one win in 1959).

The Yorkshire club have won two of their last 15 league fixtures against Forest (D6, L7), with all those games coming in the Championship.

    Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have only lost twice in 10 Premier League matches and are unbeaten in four top-flight fixtures in 2023 (W2, D2).

Forest lost three of their opening four home league games in 2022-23 but are unbeaten in their subsequent six.

Steve Cooper's side have scored the opening goal in eight of their 10 Premier League home matches this season, a joint high prior to the latest round of fixtures.

They have recorded 64 shots on target, the lowest figure in the top flight this term.

    Leeds United

Leeds have won all five of their Premier League away matches against newly promoted opposition since returning to the top flight in 2020, scoring 14 goals and conceding three.

They have claimed five points away from home this season, a joint low with Bournemouth and West Ham prior to the weekend.

Jesse Marsch's side have only won two of their last 16 league games (D5, L9).

They attempted just two shots from inside the penalty area during the goalless draw with Brentford, their lowest figure in a league match this season.

    I'm not feeling it. 3 - 1 them.

No more rehearsals, no more ‘we are making progress’, time to start delivering and if not time to start taking personal accountability.

Think there was some sort of conspiracy today - nearly every result went the wrong way for our survival - wish I'd put a fiver on Arsenal and Liverpool to lose

I’m only worried that the board won’t sack the Jessy.
Any half decent coach with this squad will see us easily climb the table.
