    Haw Chalks

Just seen your FRED elsewhere about Early Doors. I only bothered to watch it about a year ago and I’ve watched it loads since then. One of the best shows on tv ever. John Henshaw who plays Ken was also in a great series called The Cops based in Heywood and there’s bit of it on YouTube too. Not a comedy but has funny parts and is proper northern tv. Look it up.

I've never heard of The Cops Kel but I will look out for it,thanks for the heads up on that one

I can't understand why Early Doors wasn't a massive success,I've seen the series 5/6 times and have never got bored of it,each character is brilliant, talking of cops Phil and Nige that sit in the back room make me howl with laughter,Ken's mam sometimes doesn't have to say anything or even be on camera but when I hear her inhaler going off of screen it's hilarious,Duffy (who co wrote the series) is just class as his marriage breaks up and so is Joan,Eddie and Tommy and then to top it off you can see Ken coping with the stress that his relationship with his daughter might be disappearing, absolute class writing and acting,I'm not bothered about strippers or that kind of thing but I would be first in line to be on that mini bus to see the Twin Cheeks

Thanks for the thread Kel,I was beginning to believe that I was on my own in its brilliance

    Now then,The Cops you say...
