Nothing will happen, you tend to find people with lots of money pay lots of money to other people so they can continue to spend lots of money. They'll probably get a fine of a few £100k

They'd probably accept a points deduction if it meant no more than missing out on the ECL for one season. Doubt it will be worse than relegation to tier 2, though we might see a repeat of the Swindon fiasco in 1990 when they were demoted 2 levels before it was reduced to 1.

Nothing bad will happen to Man City. Sorry, but you just have to accept that there will always be one law for the rich, and everybody else can foxtrot oscar.

It's just not the Notts way, we never get lucky like that. Just like only one club being relegated from League 2 after the season we went down, if there were two automatic promotion places from the NL we would finish third. And then lose in the playoffs!

Rangers got dumped to the lower league and Man City should be treated the same way, but no doubt someone will take a back hander from the rich corrupt Arabs to fix the issue

Yeap as I said that is exactly what will happen, there'll be no points deducted just a small fine.

Dare the FA or even FIFA not take positive action over this? After ignoring the blatant corrupt awarding of hosting the World Cup finals to Qatar, and the financial shinanigans of Sepp Blatter and that frog, they might find an English club a popular target to attack and restore confidence.

After all of talksports' speculation yesterday about what might happen at the end of this season, the talk now is of this dragging on for years.

The time between the Swindon situation being brought to public attention and being resolved with their demotion took a matter of a few weeks IIRC, between the play off semi-finals and the opening week of the World Cup in Italy.

Don't get me started on Posh and Port Vale in 1968, the biggest farce in league history.

This. A lot of lawyers get rich, they'll get a fine and points deduction. They'll come out with some waffle about if they get sent down the leagues it'll destabilise football plus the EPL won't want one of their big TV pullers from people watching abroad out. Complete farce.

Its nothing to do with FA or FIFA this is a PL issue.

They cant take it to CAS as the PL doesn't allow that.

This is being pushed by lots of PL clubs whose owners are also billionaires they wont let it go without a fight.

PL tv money is funded mainly by LFC and MUFC add Arsenal too the PL not want to upset the real giants as that ESL will be quickly back on the table which they and Sky are terrified of.
