Apparently it will take anything between 2 to 4 years to investigate Citys financial irregularities. Its taken 5 years to get to this point and yet it could be an additional 4 years to complete the investigation, at the very least City should be banned from buying any further players. They can now go on to win more Premier titles. What a nonsense.

    Taken from The Times newspaper

The Premier League’s disciplinary case against Manchester City is likely to take between two and four years to be completed, according to one of Britain’s leading sports lawyers.

The Premier League announced on its website that the club have been charged with breaching 115 different regulations over 14 years from 2009-10 to this season.

As we all know, money has ruined the game of football. Oh to go back to the days of Billy Wright, Ronnie Allen, Jackie Milburn etc. They played for the love of the game and the renumeration that they received was limited. I’m all for paying top players well but not the absolutely ridiculous amounts that they now receive. The problem is that we are not going to reverse the system but what can, and should be done, is to tighten the rules and if any club breaks these rules they should be severely punished. If that means stripping them of titles, expelling them, so be it. If Man. City have broken the rules then this should happen to them. Harsh punishments are the only way to stop it.

Absolutely. Of course they've lawered up. Some guy called Panick on £5000/hour. Well I bet he's not panicking. Unless they really throw the book at City by expelling them from the PL, we all may as well give up. The only reason why City escaped serious censure from UEFA was because of time restraints and the legal actions expired. That won't be the case here. There's no reason why they should be accepted into the EFL either. Why should a promotion place effectively be sealed off to the detriment of smaller clubs who've stuck to the financial rules?

Of course if City succeed in dragging this out then it's going to be increasingly difficult for them to attract top players like Bellingham as they won't want to go there whilst there's uncertainty.
