The last two responders forget that Artel also inherited several half decent players. How many of the current squad can you put in that category??
As I heard, CBR is still a few weeks away but even then I don't see how he can turn the team around by himself under the current tactics. Bell and Morris seem decent guys but have they earnt the respect of the players. I'm not sure. There seems to be very little passion amongst the players, we seem incapable of holding onto a lead and devoid of ideas when we go a goal down.

Who said the fans have to put up with a kids academy and first team? Oh, Dario and so that's fine even if we get chucked out of the league and not sold a player for donkeys years? Note the gate on Tues, against the league leaders? About 3K home fans? That is a dying club and nobody is taking note except the die hard fans who just want a first team of footballers who KNOW how to play the game and a manager who knows how to manage. But unfortunately supported by some fans who cannot see anything but happy clappy Crewe Alex no matter how they play or how the team is managed. Play the same record again...Get rid of all the players, and all the coaches and start again even in the National League. Football is about bloody scoring goals not passing the ball as though its red hot! That is what coaching teaches..

Ignoring the oft repeated criticism of Dario and getting this back on track.....the half decent players that Dave inherited only became half decent after 3 years of his management. When he started, the likes of Kirky, Pixie, Perry et al were just kids. Much like Tabs, Holicek, big Connor and others are now.

After less than 2 years of his management, they got promotion during his 3rd year and proved there worth during his management reign. Plus Wintle, and Dale. Apart from Owen Dale, all were near the end of there 'youth' contracts and able to move for free at 24 years. Although the youths above MAY go on to prove useful they are only 18years old and a good 3/4 years behind the kirk pixie et al. We cannot gamble on the current youngsters to maintain Crewe in the football league.
