Indeed, though the LIV broke away, so it's not all rosey for the PGA!

Edit: Like my wife's driving, I didn't see Geoff's post!

Unfortunately Geoff, greed is ripe throughout sport! LIV golfers are another example of its worst excesses and the source of the money in this case, imo, once again shows that that greed has no boundaries!
But, as ever, needs must and sooner or later and no doubt prompted by legal action they will worm they way back into the fold. The Dollar always wins!

Forget Jock land, thats a 2 bob league in comparison.
Consistancy isn't going to be found here. QPR committed their sins in the Football league. Took ages to get at them in the Prem.

They will buy their way out of this, in fines/ legal fees/ little gifts.
I tend to agree and i do believe as you do that they will get away with it lightly. If they only get a fine it does set a precedent though and sends a message to all other PL clubs to spend what they want and just pay fines. For the Rich clubs it makes a mockery of FFP.

The only thing the makes me think they may go hard is that they tried to do them before and it go overruled in the european courts, the PL may see it as an opportunity to set a wrong right there. And add to that Man City are a prime example of what the elite want to prevent happening again, its a big reason for FFP lower down, they dont want clubs coming from lower leagues having had millions pumped in by a rich benefactor, they want it to be a closed shop, they dont want more Man Cities or Chelseas even.

It was the court of arbitration for sport, not a European court, it seems they got off on a legal technicality, in that the PL applied the sanctions for the wrong period, or something like that. Must admit I didnt bother with the details.

QPR were out of reach of the EFL until relegated, their fine was £40 million, but should also have included a pts deduction.

Agree if found guilty of 100 breaches then relegation to league 2 should be the penalty plus fines and a transfer embargo. But (shock horro) agree with Tricky, money will buy leniency.
