It really has the feel of the later Stephen Thompson years where he went from were building a club to I need my money back.

At the end of the day, we're going to lose him one way or another. This way we get him back for a year. If he plays to his potential, brilliant, we get another year out of him. If he doesn't, well we've already having cashed in, so off he pops. This is the kind of deal most Utd fans would've taken for a few of our youngsters in the past. The timing does suck however, and is only going to fuel some of the rumours we're seeing.

What's the keepers injury? Did his team mates header phuck out of him after the game?

Maybe if it was 7 figures, but 6 is being quoted.

To be fair, he's done the square root of nothing for us yet. They are buying the potential so it was never going to be in the millions.

point is, the club think he is good enough to play for us at 16 and be our first-choice backup to fletcher in a relegation battle but is only worth 6 figures, if they rate him so highly then he should be a lot more

I think its fairly obvious why he's been playing.

Fulham - "any chance of seeing him in action"
    Asghar - "sure, no problem".

    Something like the above.

My point is, that's why he's suddenly been playing, not because we think he's good enough.
