It's a couple of seasons too quick for us to win a cup or challenge the big boys
Squad depth shows how average we are
We were awful under Ashley and it was going to take time ,luckily we went on a good run and morale was winning is games ,but we've been very ordinary in many games and I now hope we can keep going
I won't comment on Eddie Howe tbh
Aalreet, Kev. Good to see you on, man.

I’m not sure it’s the last injury that has hampered Wilson, but his last Illness. Too much talk of him isolating - training on his own etc for utmost to be vivid or similar.

Lung function and general long covid has been bandied about numerous times

Regardless of reason he offers very little at the moment, we need a top experienced striker in asap

    My head hurts now.

But that's interesting and would definitely make sense. His movement off the ball is poor, his shooting is generally weak and the ball quite often gets away from him too easily. It's sad to see because when he's firing on all cylinders he's a very good striker.

Normally, when a striker is in a lean patch, they're missing chances, trying stuff that doesn't come off, that sort of thing but this seems different.

I dunno, maybe he's just bang out of form and he'll start scoring again but...

That's in such stark contrast to our pre-World Cup form.

Gave us a glimpse of how things could-and hopefully will-be once we've undone the last 14 years of neglect, though.

I'm not sure we've hit the bottom of our slump either, unfortunately.

Liverpool will pass us soon if that's the case, just 2 points behind now.

Aye, I'm not expecting us to finish higher than 5th at best.

And that's not pessimism, it's just the reality of where we are. The first teams and squads of all those teams are way ahead of ours so even just being in the mix as long as we have been is quite the achievement.Whether we hang on to 6th remains to be seen. we're definitely capable but it'll need Miggy and Wilson to get their form back in a major way and the likes of Bruno, Willock, Joelinton, Maxi and Longstaff to start chipping in with some goals.

I agree with zippity, Wilson looks shot right now, and should NOT be starting. We spent 60 million on Isak, let's give him a run of games, and I'd be giving more game time to Elliott as well, who looks to have a lot of promise!
