We (well the Wife) had one up at Tullos, across from Shell.

Hard, hard work. The veg was good, one year we had an abundance of courgettes and beetroots and they were huge. Never seen anything like it.

Was this old cnut who had the plot next to ours who was always grassing us up to the council, as we couldn't go as much as the retired folk, so ours looked a little untidy compared to others, but you could tell it was being worked on.

The other folk with allotments were all nice and helpful and gave plenty of advice. One guy had the same plot since 1963 and went everyday. Devotion for you.

With work and kids to contend with, we just gave it up in the end.

Digging? I gave that up five years ago, and the results are good. Some allotment committees dinna like the concept though.

If "No Dig" hadn't been a fashion trend, I would have invented it anyway.

I will try to be equitable but the word "committee" doesn't fill me with joy.

Either way I will try my best to keep the plot in a reasonable condition.

    But Budapest = weeds.

We’re squatting on an allotment & my Mrs has fallen out with the owner. Only thing in danger of being planted, is her foot up his @rse.

Might treat myself to a wee greenhouse but they seem to go from total shyte to deluxe models. Doesn’t look like there’s anything in between. I just want to shout at some chillies ffs

At our old allotment the mannies (nae Wifies had one I'm afraid) made some amazing greenhouse type buildings and sheds out of all-sorts of shyte.
I think you would have been laughed at if we'd rocked up with a new shed.
