Caught up with the match yesterday. I like most normal people thought the incident with Pope should have been a red and a penalty. Score and you have a totally different game. Having said that the home side could have scored three in the first half, although their first came from a dodgy free kick.

A much better second half performance from Wolves could have salvaged a much needed point, but sloppy defending allowed Newcastle to steal all three points.

Once again a crazy decision cost us. The sending off of Lemina at Southampton cost him a place in our next match. The VAR, or lack off, cost us a Cup run. Now VAR wasn't even looked at on Tyneside. Theses decisions could cost a team millions of pounds in revenue, and personnel their livelihood. The standard of refereeing in the English Premier League is becoming a farce. Certain clubs seem to be getting the rub of the green while others, those not in the big six, appear to be on the receiving end.

Good post Abbo, but if I'd written about how I feel regarding the officiating I'd be a damned sight more angry with my words!
