Folk are up in arms about this but I'll guarantee there's a lot more companies than the BBC have policies about bringing the company into disrepute.

He won't get sacked that's for sure but he is bringing heat on the company he works for and may cost them a few more licence fees.

Kinda dinnae mind him speaking out just shows up champagne socialists for what they are ......he will still have no trouble getting grandkids in school of choice, doctors appts and dentist appts and I doubt many illegal Somalians or Albanians or iraqies are housed near him.

So out of touch he may as well be on the moon.

Wonder if he'll pull the race card again......is it cause em black

BBC will be delighted. Look what happens when we do what our rules say we should! Discovered that Twitter has about 20% of the population 19m users. Why should anyone pay attention to such a minority, even if they all supported Lineker.

Nicola Sturgeon has now complained about the BBC forcing Lineker to step back from presenting Match of Day but the same Nicola Sturgeon would be calling for Lineker to be ‘hung drawn and quartered’ if he had tweeted anything bad about the SNP or herself.
I would be delighted if the BBC stopped having pundits on Match of the Day.
Too much time is spent listening to these pundits wittering on and not enough time is allowed for showing the highlights of the matches.

Could be. Must be pressure on them to get rid of these old men. Perfect opportunity. Save some money, and bring in some diversity!

He stays in Barnes 81% white, if he loves his diversity and cultural enrichment that it brings why dosent he move to tower Hamlets or Luton?

He probably thinks that’s a reflection of the whole country
