Sorry, I would say if he compared the country to Germany in the thirties it's obvious that he meant Hitler and the Nazi Party which is absolutely ridiculous.

He didn't compare the country to 1930s Germany, he compared the language that's being used around the asylum issues:

"This is just an immeasurably cruel policy directed at the most vulnerable people in language that is not dissimilar to that used by Germany in the '30s"

    Bold added by me

He has used his fame to try and influence on other issues. In this case the government were trying to stop illegals paying criminal gangs to bring them on small boats across the channel. What has that got to do with the anti Jewish laws of the 1930s long before the final solution.

During the Brexit referendum he tried to influence the electorate to vote against leaving on more than one occasion. He has been warned before by the BBC.The Government are putting illegals up in hotels until they have been checked out, does that compare to Germany in the 1930s who soon after gaining power took away the rights of Jews born and bred in Germany.

He says he is defending those who can't speak for themselves, how about defending the people of Kent in particular or the taxpayers struggling to pay their fuel bills whilst ILLEGALS are in warm hotels.

to be honest, he didnt do what most people think he did.

He said the language used by the govenment is similar to that of 1930's Germany.

Never said anything about Nazi's, Hitler, 3rd Reich . Didn't say this country as like that either.

Yet since his outburst, the BBC (whos head is appointed by the Prime Minister) have suspended him? hmmmm

    Freedom of speech my A..e

When people quote political discourse of 1930's Germany, it's clear they're referring to the party in power at that time (National Socialist Workers Party) aka The Nazi Party.

As for cancel culture. Funny that those who practice it squeal when it's done to them.

The BBC are at it again telling porkies. They have now reported that the Lineker dispute was because he disagreed with the government's attititude towards the immigrants.

He didn't, he tweeted disagreeing about one minister's choice of words about the subject.
