    Targett v Burn

I can see why people think Dan is a weak link in the side but he does some very good things and I thought he was excellent today. Obviously Targett isn’t playing as well as he can in training otherwise he’d be starting.
Let’s cut big Dan a bit of slack?

Yep, Burn was excellent today under some real pressure.

I'm BDB biggest fan, another great performance playing out of position.

Targett isn't completely match fit anyway I believe.

But agreed, BDB did well again today.

Dan Burn is very good, I just don’t believe that he is the solution for left-back in the future, but he has done a fantastic job for us - centre and left - and today he was particularly outstanding.

When Target is fully match fit perhaps we'll go three centre backs with Targett and trippier as wing backs.

No chance... our defence has been far too good to change the shape of it
The occasional change in personel is not a problem, changing the style and shape could be

The reason I would consider bringing in Targett is....

I don't see there being much difference between Burn and Targett quality wise, Burn is a better natural defender, but Targetts strength is set pieces.

Until that ball by Tripps for the Isak goal, our corners and free kicks had become a bit stale and predictable. Targett gives us the option of a left footed player putting the ball in the mixer.

Got to be worth a try...

Never say never, EH is a very adaptable thinker and can make the best of most situations.
