    So what you're saying is that the asylum seekers didn't come to UK before brexit as they would still be stuck in the EU. But now, post Brexit, they come here to escape the EU??

    No, since Brexit the agreement we had to return those not qualifying for Asylum in the UK to another safe country in the EU ended and this government for reasons unknown, but either incompetency or because they were adopting a belligerent anti EU tone, didn't negotiate a new one!

    AS has been said many times, if there was a safe legal route, if claims were processed at Calais which the French offered, then the boats would cease. So its this governments policy that is encouraging the people smugglers.
