    Last Chance Saloon

Maybe the last chance saloon tonight for Wycombe and Peterborough to climb into a Play Off spot--

    Bristol Rovers-v-Wycombe

    Burton-v-Peterborough

A win for Wycombe tonight and over Barnsley on Saturday would leave them just three points behind the Reds.
Maybe the Play Off spot is not cut and dried after all.

Ipswich tipping the game might be off due to their international call ups. Announcements/selections expected today.

Rovers might try and frustrate Wycombe like they did against us.

Tough night for Posh who play against a team needing points to pull away from relegation.

    Interesting!!

To be honest SB , my thoughts are that 80 points gets you a play off spot & on that basis we need 14 points from 12 games , we have just taken 26 off the last 10 which means we are on top form & virtually a point a game should be very doable for a form team & its what we do not what Wycombe & Peterboro do plus of course Derby & Bolton may have a big say in what the chasers have to do , I am really not bothered about the chasing pack it is well & truly in our own hands & if we fail to get to the play offs from this position it is totally down to us.

Some on here love a hoss racing analogy---

If we enter the final furlongs wearing blinkers, not seeing what's happening behind, thundering hooves get louder and louder and, before you realise, all you see are the chasing hoss's arses, their hooves splattering mud in your eyes.

Beware the key player injury, the suspension, the run of bad luck, the bad refereeing decision, the loss of form. We could be doomed I'm telling you, doomed.

Ipswich Town duo Wes Burns and Nathan Broadhead have both been included in the Wales squad for upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Croatia and Latvia.

Burns, who missed out on selection for the recent winter World Cup in Qatar, will be looking to add to the three caps he picked up last summer.
The 28-year-old has provided six goals and nine assists for Town so far this season.

Broadhead will be looking for his first senior cap. The 24-year-old was a regular for Wales at youth level, was called up to the full squad after helping Sunderland to League One promotion last summer, but then had to withdraw due to injury.

He's made an instant impact since arriving from Everton in a £1.5m move in January, providing four goals and two assists from an inside left forward role.

The pair's involvement puts Ipswich's scheduled game at League One automatic promotion rivals Barnsley*on Saturday, March 25 in doubt.
Town, who have already sold more than 3,100 tickets for the game at Oakwell,*are likely to postpone that fixture if a third player were to be called up by their country.

Captain Sam Morsy is in the provisional Egpyt squad for African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Malawi, while there's a good chance that left-back Greg Leigh will be in the Jamaica squad for a*CONCACAF Nations League game in Mexico.
It's not clear when Egypt or Jamaica will announce their final squads.

Barnsley are likely to have only one player away on international duty - key midfielder Luca Connell (Republic of Ireland U21s).
If Town do postpone*their trip to Barnsley then the first available blank midweek to rearrange it to would be Tuesday, April 25*- making it the third from last game of the campaign.

In the 1956 Grand National the Queen Mother (God Bless You Maam) was laughing with joy at the thought of winning as her horse Devon Loch entered the final furlong.

Well Ipswich will play it how they see it , not a gimme they will want the game called off given they have a deep squad and on a good run .

Losing Connell for ourselves is potentially huge in such a tough game .

Nice way of painting the picture & with us being the current horse that has been chasing & is still staring at horses arses I feel sure a few of the front runners will be looking over their shoulders at us, especially as we have previous for timing it to perfection , we do not need the whip out yet but just keep on their tails for a bit longer as some of these front runners might just start to tire .
