Late game finishes …

I couldn’t help but notice the late finishes of a lot of games today,I know that there’s been a rule change that the clock will run on 45 and 90 mins but surely the games should finish at the same time as the ref just adding on x amount of minutes?

Aye Chalky, in our game the board went up for 5 minutes at the end of the first half, nearly 7 were played. It showed 11 at the end of the game and nearly 13 were played. The players were knackered.

Northampton v Stevenage played 9 and 15, absolutely crackers. I know that the fans deserve 90 minutes but it’s surely better to deal with it during a game. Goals are over-celebrated. Players are “injured’ too often. Let the physios come on like in rugby and play on ffs, and allow 30 seconds after a goal - if the scoring side aren’t back get on with the kick-off. Our game didn’t finish until ten past five ffs.

Let's hope the players are told to stop time wasting and then we can get back to 5 minutes.

We will see the fitness levels for sure and if they cannot do an extra few minutes here and there then they should be made to run to Port Carlisle and back every day so they can do it,nuff said at the moment.

25 added minutes played in yesterday’s game at Stevenage. Hands up all whose who are surprised.

Notts on Saturday had 10 added on minutes in the first half and 7 added on 90 minutes,it did seem like a long game (which it obviously was) and I didn’t know when to make a final minute rush to the gates to beat the traffic

I know one thing(JP) will want 1 minute extra time at the end if we are winning or hanging on for a point,and half a hour if we are getting beat.
