    Swansea v Bristol City

The slump in form gets deeper with every match. We badly need a win to turn things around. There have been signs the last few matches that we can but the conceding of soft goals is hindering us and needs to stop.
Next up are Bristol City, who knocked us out of the FA Cup in extra time in January, can we get revenge for that result. The match has been moved to a Sunday lunchtime kick-off and there is a two week International break to follow, so a win would boost moral and ease fears of getting involved in a relegation fight.
After the break we play local rivals Cardiff. Last October we beat them 2-0 and were 4th in the table, now we are 17th after 3 wins in 23 matches.
Bristol lost 1-0 at Luton last weekend. They don’t concede many goals and don’t score many either so it could be a tight match. Any points would be welcome at the moment and I’m going for a 1-1 draw.

The thing is we’re saying the same thing over and over but nothing changes week on week. The players we’ve got can’t play the system after nearly two seasons of trying. Everybody can see it except the manager. All players with any pace have been discarded, our sluggish build up play doesn’t create much, we are vulnerable on the counter attack, and our playing out from defence is easily nullified by the high-press.

Come on boys we can’t go into the Cardiff match after another loss.
We’ve got to beat Bristol City before the two week break and the Cardiff clash.

Three fist pumps, three cheers from the Jack Army as I left the ground.
Eight or nine Bristol Coaches full of disappointed supporters departing, a police drone watching for crowd trouble. Who cares, we won, and got the three points. A much better performance and plenty of chances, 17 shots, 5 on target. Defensive frailties haven’t gone away but when you win it doesn’t matter.

Much better from the Swans and we didn’t concede a goal for the first time since December.
Was it a penalty? Did Cabango handle the ball, hard to see from the above footage, but the ref had the best view, he was right in front of him and didn’t give it.i
