    Reflections on tonight

A tough away game-they were unbeaten at home since September but we were by far the better team and deserved the win, no doubt in my mind.

Isak is just going to get better and better.

Thibgs are changing...an injury time winner in a game we deserved to win? This is not the usual Newcastle way.

Great boost going into the international break.

    Away fans were awesome again.

Forest were dirty and the ref was incredibly lenient.

i clearly don't understand the offside rule.

    VAR is ruining the game.

Great performance tonight specially Isak and Willock who were both immense and Anderson looked right up for it tonight the only sad point was again no minutes for Targett.

    Finally a come back win.

Second game in a row with a defenders’ error leading to a goal.

17 times we’ve now hit the woodwork this season.

Great game for Anderson - looks exciting for the future. Was robbed of a goal.

Does big Joe come straight back into the team???

Once again, proven that many incorrect decisions are made because some officials don’t understand the rules and not because it all happened too fast for them to make the right decision.

Good point on Joelinton - two wins without him but was suspended for giving it his all in previous matches, an interesting call in a couple of weeks…

To be fair to him, he also wished us luck and could hardly say we deserved to win.

    Isak - Immense
Murphy - If that was the result of him seeing a possible good run in the team with Miggy injured, then he’s pretty much made that spot his own while Miggy is out, and if he keeps on performing like that then possibly when Miggy is available again.

Willock - Unlucky not to score, but a great overall game and just gets better and better with some great pass and go

Bruno - Another unlucky not to score, involved a lot but don’t feel he’s quite back to his best quite yet… not complaining but still think there is more to come.

Longstaff - Some good play, the usual top notch work rate, but still gives the ball away cheaply at times.

Burn - Got a bit het up last night, probably as a result of the way Forest played the game, but didn’t help himself or us by talking himself into a yellow early with only a third of the game gone.

    Going forward… what I’d like to see…

    Big Jo back in
Willock over to the right of the midfield 3
Targett to come back in, for part of the game at least (much as I love BDB he’s not an attacking fullback and we need more threat down the left)
Gordon to replace ASM (fitness allowing)

Forest got away with murder last night, some of the tackling early on was bad,but not punished, got the result in the end,our quality got us through. Burn and Botman seem to be feeling the pressure at the moment, might be time to rest Burn, and bring Targett in. Good time for the international break, rest up some of the walking wounded after last night I reckon there will be a few knocks.
