I wonder if the Dee4life board would consider starting a rainy day fund? I have just ready the report about Neilsen leaving Hearts and the reference to a benevolent Ann Budge and how she helped the Friends of Hearts to become 75.1% majority owners.
Perhaps this could be plan B for us. We'd need money and some kind of organisation to be guardians of it. Just a thought.

    That is an excellent idea.
There is no point waiting until Tim Keyes announces that he has dissolved his Football Partners Scotland partnership (FPS).
We must get a Rainy Day fund in place to avoid Admin 3.

It was on its way, would've given some income to the club and some to Dee4Life for the rainy day fund - Nelms put up every barrier he could to it. The (conservative) projections showed that Dee4Life would've been in a position to buy Dens long before now. Then a few years later Nelms agreed to an almost identical scheme with the only difference being that he got 100% of the money raised to do with as he pleased.

I was hoping that perhaps he might welcome a suggestion that might help him should Campy not be given planning permission.

You have to actually apply to be turned down.

He's never welcomed anything else from fans.

Did he not say there's no plan B?

The club could have saved a fortune in annual rental payments to Sandeman Properties Limited if Nelms had agreed to a fans buyback of Dens Park.
Interestingly the Sandeman Properties Limited annual accounts for the year ending 31st July 2022 list trade debtors of £65,460.
This is the first set of annual accounts since Sandeman Properties Limited with John Bennett as the director purchased the title deeds of Dens Park from Lloyds Banking Group in 2009 for £500,000 which has trade debtors listed in its annual accounts.

Yes, planning application needs to go in but I thought that the comment was there is no plan B because the club is fully focused on the Campy project and therefore there is no need for a plan B.

Gettinh planning permission is not an exact science so I thought it might help if the idea of a rainy day fund, along the lines of Friends of Hearts, might be worth considering.
