He's leaving it a bit late. Has to be a defender, surely?

"Richard Brindley trained today and yesterday very well, so we are really optimistic about him returning very soon.

"Aden is out on the grass but is not joining in with full training yet, but he is approaching that point so we expect him to be back with us very soon.

"Junior is disappointing because the problem is a little bit more serious than we anticipated, but he is out on the grass and today he is kicking the ball and moving well on the grass, so we need to make sure that he is strong and completely clear of injury - there is also some conditioning work we need to do so that he can fulfil the role when he goes on the pitch, hopefully, we will have a much clearer idea this time next week."

Anyone else nervous that we are signing injured players?

Ooooh another attacking midfielder who's not match fit please.

Seriously though, how about Kacper Lopata, who's now a free agent after leaving Southend?

A bit worrying that the extent of his injury wasn't identified during his medical. Why not wait until he's fit and then sign him? Might save a month's wages that way.

We shouldn't have signed him if he was injured.

It's certainly disappointing to read, and the fact the extent wasn't picked up during the medical.

Although saving one months wages when you are signing a player on a long contract is neither here nor there. We don't know if his former club had interest in him from other parties. If so, no point risking losing a permanent signing by waiting one month. Notts' will naturally trust their physio setup more than other clubs in this league including Dag & Red.

Depends on the injury though doesn’t it? This guys not a stop gap, he’s signed a 3 year deal which means the club seeing him long term benefiting the team. We could wait a month but he could have gone somewhere else, not really worth the risk if you really want them.
