Frank has stated that we should just send back to France those who arrive in boats at the Kent coast. But he knows that we are no longer in the European Union and this is against international law, so we will never attempt to do it. Of course Frank completely ignores that, stating that we can do whatever the f*uck we want to. We are the mighty United Kingdom so sending in a gunboat is the answer to any opposition. We are willing participants in international law. International law forbids us from returning migrants to any EU country because we are not in the EU. The 1951 Refugee Convention does not require a person to claim asylum in the first safe country they reach. People trying to cross the Channel can legitimately claim asylum in the UK if they reach it.
