    Italy v England tonight

At the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Back in 1967 however it was the San Paolo and I have no doubt when Gareth was talking about the “rich history” of football in Naples he wasn’t thinking of Burnley’s game all those years ago. He probably didn’t even notice Roberto Mancini’s comment that there is only ever trouble in the city when it is caused by away fans. We will see. I suspect Southgate will be picking Maguire and Phillips in his starting eleven and that his exhortation for fans to respect local culture will be matched by his team taking the knee in accordance with local customs.

it's not the original report but it does cover the trouble caused by the home fans and players in naples.

Well the Italians certainly won the anthem contest.

We'll do well to get it past their goalie, he takes up a fair bit of room, I'm sure he played rugby for the national team as well.

I know I’ve posted this before but Declan Rice is absolute class , what a reader of a game - positioning is Second to none , and his timing and ability to drive forward - absolutely amazing player.

I wonder if he's on the Alan Pace radar?

    Unlike Maguire, he's a liability

Whatever Southgate said at halftime he's ballsed it up, we've let Italy back in.
