Everton - PL panel Investigate breach of Profit & Sustainability

Just reading that a PL statement released today confirmed that Everton allegedly breached the Profit & Sustainability rules in the period ending 2021/22 would be heard by an independent panel.

Potential sanctions for the Toffee men if found guilty include a possible points deduction, transfer embargoes, reduced playing squads, substantial fines and in the most severe cases, expulsion from the league. Everton, currently level on 26 points with Leeds having played a game more, sit one place below Leeds in the PL due to an inferior goal difference. Both clubs are just 2 points above the relegation zone.

Last May Leeds & Burnley, who were both then under the threat of relegation, submitted a joint letter to the Premier League threatening to bring legal action for substantial damages against the league and Everton after they reported combined losses of £371.8 million over a three-year period. Following Leeds’ survival on the final day of the 2021/22 season, the Whites opted not to pursue their claim.

Won't hold my breath but that new stadium there building may cost them big time.

Just need to concentrate on winning points rather than relying on other things.

    "do the right thing"

something that no one at a board or the FA ever uttered.

This stuff happens every year, it is easy paper talk.

Some club always 'might be docked points' for financial reasons, never happens. You know, unless its a lower league club then they're easy to punish.

Waste of breath even thinking about it happening.
