Do you have a day rate of pay , Matt Hancock does.

Matt Hancock wants the equivalent of a years state pension, after the rise, £10k a day.
He is also not good at mental arithmetic , took him a while to divide this into an hourly rate.

The story isn't so much about the greed of Hancock or Kwarteng as , clearly, £10k a day is around the accepted going rate (and it's not 5 days a week but more like 6 days a year). What it does highlight-yet again-is the massive gulf in wealth in this country where the expectations on pay for the rich far exceeds that of the average £27k a year , yet alone all those on minimum wage.

Given the salaries of some prima Donna footballers, as an example, or the likes of Mr Lineker, £84 k for an MPs salary seems reasonable, but, of course, we all know that many earn just as much on the side.
