Other SPFL pitches on Sportscene do not become waterlogged as often the Dens Park pitch this season.
Dens Park used to be one of the best and quickest drying football pitches throughout Scottish Football but in the past five years this has certainly not been the case.

Linda should be visiting Specsavers if sitting in the front row of the Directors Box he thinks that there is nothing wrong with the Dens Park playing surface.

I still think that the installation of the new pop up sprinkler system in Dens Park in December 2013 is the main cause of the problems with the Dens Park pitch.
I believe that the land drains under the pitch were damaged when the pop up sprinkler system was installed.
There was no point laying a new pitch last summer if they cannot get the drainage problems resolved.

Two wrongs do not make a right.
You need to remember that Dens Park has only been used for 14 home league games, 3 League cup ties, I Scottish Cup tie and 2 SPFL trust cup ties to date this season which equates to 20 games this season.
In the past Dens Park was used every week of the season for League games, Reserve League games, League Cup ties and Scottish Cup ties. The pitch was in a far better condition back then than this season. It is possible that the Dundee first team players also trained on the Dens Park pitch back then.
The Dundee Football Club board of directors back then were prepared to spend money keeping the pitch up to standard despite no undersoil heating and no pop up sprinkler system whereas the current Dundee Football Club board of directors appear to be cutting back on the maintenance of the Dens Park stadium including the pitch.
