It's a fairly simple calculation, in the 20 games so far we've managed 161,638.

That number got me thinking, and in 2008/9 we got a total of 102,256 fans which averaged at 4,446 per game in the league above.

That was the most boring and depressing season in my 52 years support, McParland was manager and Munto was just around the corner. I'm convinced this team would have hammered that one at least 5-0.

It was indeed a boring and depressing season, like sadly quite a few in the 2000s. But for me it wasn't the most boring.

I believe this current confident side would smash not only the 2008/09 but also some of the preceding seasons L2 Notts sides.

All were at a higher level, but a far darker and worse time for the club and it's supporters. As the attendances perfectly illustrated.

In the season we got relegated to the National League, we scored 48 league goals all season. Unlikely but far from impossible that Macca could equal that himself this year.
