Forest 1 Wolves 2

After the Tottenham win, I felt pretty comfortable about Wolves chances, particularly with 6 pointers against Leeds and Forest coming up. Since then, we've been snakebit by the officials and lost back to back matches. Granted, our defending has been pretty poor but officiating has definitely impacted the results the last couple weeks. Now Wolves face Forest, who are also in the thick of the relegation battle. Feisty ending to the League Cup in January, so I'm sure both sides will be "up" for this one. It's a must not lose match. The schedule gets tougher after this, so a point on the road is a minimum.

72% possession and only one shot on target is a stat that should concern the manager at Wolves. A point has helped a little but all the seven teams behind Wolves have a game in hand except West Ham who have three. It's lucky that some of theses teams have to play one another, because with the exception of Southampton a win for any of the others could demote Wolves to the bottom three..
We have now lost Neves for our next two home games, Chelsea and Brentford. and although we have a clutch of midfielders, Neves will take some replacing. Good to see Bueno and Neto back close too full fitness, they will certainly be needed on this nine game run in.
Three full time and one interim manager(s) have failed to solve the lack of goals problem.
Until the end with Nuno we got away with it because of an excellent defence record, the problem continued under Lage, Davis and now Lopetegui.
I just cannot see where the next win is coming from.
Sausagenegg, on another forum i posted that we are not the only side who struggle to score. If we take the bottom ten sides from Chelsea down, between them this season they have played a total of 288 matches. However, in total they have only scored 277 goals. You don't have to be great at maths to work out that that is less than a goal a game.
We are all in the same boat, none have a striker who has scored double figures this season. Podence on 6 would be the top scorer in several of the bottom sides. Is it because the defences are better, in which case are managers settling for a point before the game starts? Very few sides have a striker in double figures.
