    Muncaster Castle Festival

SAUSAGE makers from across the land will converge at a Cumbrian castle as the historic home celebrates the return of the famous old county name - Cumberland.

From April 1 the new local government unitary authority – Cumberland Council – comes into being.

The family-friendly festival will give sausage makers the chance to show off their best sausages.

Visitors will be able to vote for their favourite in a sausage tasting competition and there will be entertainment to make sure it is a sizzling weekend all round.

Muncaster Castle’s Sausage Festival takes place between Saturday, April 29 to Monday, May 1.

You can book tickets for the festival online by visiting www.muncaster.co.uk/
