    Ipswich Town F.C. 6 Charlton 0

Charlton were defeated 4 - 0 by Ipswich away at the end of last season. But this drubbing was far worse and can only be described as a humiliation. Not much to say other than the Charlton team set-up was not good enough to match the quality and strength in depth of the Ipswich squad so an abject defeat was on the cards. 4-3-3 can work ok against the mid-table teams but those higher up need a different approach. The manner of this defeat was not expected though and not good enough for the travelling support. All there is left to say is to wish Ipswich well with their promotion to the Championship next season and to hope for a better next season for the Add1cks.

    Ipswich goals: Chaplin 7, 14, 70, Ladapo 74, 84, Davis 90+5

Thanks Claw84, good to hear from you. Hope you manage to stay in the play-offs and get promotion. It would be good to see another south London club in the PL, a change from all the north London ones.
