In these days of transport chaos, you have to question why these finals have to be held at Wembley. Of the six teams competing, only Luton have a reasonable journey. The rest are all northern clubs whose supporters might have appreciated a local large stadium where transport is easier and beer is cheaper. (NB. Coventry is north of Watford!).

We then have the FA Cup final between two Manchester teams at Wembley on 3 June coinciding with a rail strike!

Time for a northern National stadium?

Coventry Luton is a difficult one to call. Don’t think there’s a lot between them, 2 draws already against each other.
Stockport Carlisle another difficult one to call. Think Stockport might edge this one.
A key factor in the playoff semi at Hillsborough was the crowd. The Owls won't have that edge at Wembley and I think Barnsley are the better footballing side. I'll therefore go with the Tykes.

Whichever of Coventry or Luton win, and I'm not sure which one will, they'll be some major ground issues to be resolved before they enter the PL.

Agree that Stockport will sneak the League 2 playoff.

The match at Hillsborough was weird. Fergie basically played the same players as at London Road, but in a different, defensive way. Then he took off any attacking threat at HT, which simply encouraged Wednesday to attack. He made a real hash of his tactics.

As for Moore, he let the dog out because he'd got no choice. As soon as the Owls drew level he reverted to type and Posh re-took the lead. Barnsley are the only team to win at Hillsborough this season, and the only team to do the double. If Wednesday go on the front foot, they have a good chance. If Moore plays in his usual fashion, your prediction may very well be correct.

As much as I'll be cheering for whoever wins the Coventy/Luton game (currently 1-1) next season I can't help but feel I'm watching lambs getting ready for the (Premiership) slaughter.

    .
Wednesday have sold 44,000 tickets. Barnsley 23,000. That's a fairly big "edge"
Massiveitis is running wild in S6. Come on Barnsley!
