We seem to be on the winning or losing side of a good few 3 - 2 score lines lately. This one though a good win for the final home game with the front 3 on form to score the 3 goals between them for the 3 points for the Add1cks.

One statistic worth noting is that more goals have been scored at the Valley than any other League One ground this season many of them going the other way. Goes to show if anything the need to shore up the defence next season if the team are to have a chance of a any kind of promotion challenge. I somehow think we are in capable hands with the younger players upfront but the loss of Rak Sakyi back to Palace will be a big blow.

The Add1cks were 2 goals up c/o Rak Sakyi and Campbell when Port Vale clawed their way back into it as the 2nd half wore on. Charlton failed to clear from a corner and Plant planted a goal into the back of the net for Vale to make it 2 - 1.

Leaburn got the 3rd goal, which won the game, after some good team work. Taylor for Vale scored from a penalty, harshly awarded against Terell Thomas and that was the virtual last kick of the game.

Charlton goals: Campbell 14, Rak-Sakyi 58, Leaburn 77

Port Vale goals: Plant 62, Taylor 90+7
