Liverpool told Newcastle hero Joelinton 'looks perfect' for Jurgen Klopp's midfield

The Chronicle report today that Liverpool would face some tough negotiations if they were to try and land Newcastle's Joelinton.

As Liverpool’s top four hopes fade away their midfield problems are once again the topic of discussion – with ex-Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler believing that Newcastle’s Joelinton could be ‘perfect’ for the Reds.

The midfield is of course an issue that has plagued Jurgen Klopp’s side all season and with players such as Jordan Henderson and James Milner reaching the business end of their careers.

With this in mind, Liverpool seemingly looked to Jude Bellingham as the key to their midfield rejuvenation. That deal however has fell by the wayside and Fowler believes the Reds should turn their attentions to Newcastle’s Brazilian star.

“I’d end too, by saying that I’m a big, big fan of Joelinton, who combines both aspects of the game I’ve been talking about. And [he] looks just about the identikit of the perfect player for Liverpool,” Fowler told the Sunday Mirror.

Quick, physically strong and an endless runner – it is clear to see why Liverpool would be interested in the 26-year-old. Despite now being one of the first names on the team, the Brazilian’s time on Tyneside hasn’t always gone this swimmingly, with attributes as a midfielder going unnoticed until the appointment of Eddie Howe back in November 2021.

Since his transition into midfield, Joelinton has transformed into one of the league’s best pressing midfielders – making him an ideal replacement for the likes of Henderson. It is not only pressing and defending in which Joelinton has shone though, with Howe massively improving the Brazilian going forward – with Joelinton’s six league goals this season showing he can provide the goods at both ends.

If the Reds do want to add Joelinton to their thin midfield roster they will face some stiff negotiations from the Newcastle hierarchy – who will undoubtedly want to keep a hold of their midfield general as they surge up the league.

Here is my answer to both Robbie Fu(kwit and Jurgen's Vomit: F U C K OFF, you filthy scouser KUNTS !!!!!!

    "stiff negotiations"

Fuck me, the Chronic is desperate. It's no different to someone saying 'Zip would be perfect for Myleene Klass' (I mean, I would, obviously) then a paper writing an article saying I face tough negotiations with her husband to convince him to step aside.

    Sheesh

Honestly, why doesn't the Chronicle report that M'Bappe would be "PERFECT" up front for the scousers! There are many, many Liverpool groupies who are deeply worried we might actually kick them out of the champions league !!!!

No Champions League football, a manager who has gone from 'Heavy Metal Football' to 'Horse Teeth loseball!'

Klopps mystique has completely evaporated. He's completely lost his credibility for fans outside of the bindippers.

Next season he could well be sacked when they have a bad start to the season. 7 yrs in Germany & he's going into his 8th year with Liverpool the drop off has been dramatic.

FSG don't have the funds to refresh the squad to make them competitive with City, Arsenal & Us. There are others Chelsea, if they get the right manager to shape that insane squad of talent will be a force. Liverpool & Spurs are gonna struggle.

In summary I don't see any of our core players like Bruno, J7 etc leaving at all. Everyone is desperate to stay and win things with NUFC.

Those that leave will be the players that Eddie Howe doesn't want to keep / not good enough for the next stage.

I don't listen to this nonsense. Pundits are biased clowns! F them all

Ragatino - I agree Liverflop are on their last legs as a force, and they don't have the money anymore to compete with the BIG clubs like us As for that manager of theirs - he has a face like Mister Ed, the talking horse - he will be gone or sacked next season, he's looking like a has been, who should join the ranks of recycled garbage like Steve McLaren, Lampard and Gerard.

They are having their last roll of the dice to unsettle our club with talk of "OFFERS" for our players, ANYTHING to unsettle the club to drop points. LORD I HOPE BRENTFORD BEAT THOSE B@STARDS

No champions league football seems a bit premature to me like. I’m still nervous about them, they are lucky buggers and who knows what will happen at the weekend. Will we beat Arsenal? Will Brentford take something off them? It’s squeaky bum time for sure. I pray we make it and screw up the red filth. Dump them into the Europa league next season that would really knack em up!

....was waiting on this kind of horseshiit to start. These cnts seem to always think they can take our players without question. I was actually thinking they would try first for Bruno to replace Henderson or Milner.

Different times. Won't be so easy for them now.
