Artificial Intelligence hardware and software such as ChatGPT

We are well aware of ChatGPT but there may well be better AI hardware / software somewhere. Plenty of people are working on their own versions of it worldwide, including all the major computer hardware / software companies.

Let's suppose that someone instructs the best of these to design both hardware and software that is better than it. Then that is created. Then someone instructs that to design both hardware and software that is better than it. Then that is created etc.

Given that prototype quantum computers are already being created the combination of what AI could do on a quantum computer is much more than frightening. It could be so good. It could be cataclysmic.

Didn't you mention sometime back that scientists had to disable a couple of computers that had developed their own language and was slagging off humans behind our back (or summat)
Surely the there will be a day when computers develope a back up plan to being erased by us and go underground without our knowledge,I can see this being both possible and dangerous in under 20 years and we will have to send a Terminator back in time to kill the scientists that developed Skynet?

Someone on a radio programme was talking about two completely different computers being set up to communicate with each other, both having AI software. The computers themselves set up a 'language' that both could send in, receive in and understand. But nobody else could understand this new 'language'. For the sake of caution the connection between the two was cut.

Have we created a monster then in the internet and computers then Stefan?

I hate the fact that mobile phones got developed so quickly over such a short time,if they was only bog standard call and text phones they would be ok but once you could get the internet and smart phones then it caused a lot of trouble, kids can get p0rn and shocking videos at the touch of a button and I bet that bullying has increased since the smartphone and apps like Whatapp or Twitter or whatever and not to mention how many relationships Fish in Sea etc has ruined

I'm glad that I'm at the nub end of life tbh

Facebook is a weird one, some people cannot control themselves when given an audience and the ones who shouldn't really be let near a keyboard are generally the most amusing.
