Wigan Athletic Fc - Issues With Players Wages Again

Wigan Athletic Fc - Issues with Players Wages Again. Friday 05 May 2023.

Been reported that the four-weekly wage cycle to Wigan Athletic players, was again
    not paid today Friday morning.
Again a issue with wages being paid on time, Wigan Athletic having problems on &
off the pitch, but off the pitch is the big issue, after players have not received their
wages on time, on 4 occasions.
The last occasion, meant the club had 3 points deducted by the EFL.
Assurances from high ranking officials, that the wages would ' Absolutely be Paid '
later in the day, so then technically the club would not be in breach of any legal
    requirement.
But at 5pm today the wages deadline had not been paid to the players, but believed
the non-playing staff have been paid as usual.

The players have been told to have Saturday off.

Could Wigan Athletic Fc be hit with another points deduction, to be carried into league
    one next season.

What a mess. Wonder how many of their players will be looking to move elsewhere?

Curtis Tilt. What were you thinking of
    Grass isn’t always greener

Are Wigan going to turn up on Monday
Might be like Estonia vs Scotland in Tallin.

Feck em… another club way in debt.

Just how good is Tony Stewart and his business plan? Other clubs, IF they dare, should look to re dress and not pay these extortionate players/ agents demands and be bold and brave for a couple of seasons to turn their business around.

We at RUFC are a model of just that. No big wages but we survive with the best of the big spending clubs in the Championship. Take note Reading!

Some of the Wigan fans seem to think that it might be the players who might not want to go in on Saturday (today) as opposed to being given an extra day off!!. Might be pure speculation of course but something isn’t right.

If that is the case could it be that the game itself might be in danger on Monday?

I guess we will know more later today. I feel for their fans.

Please do correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure earlier on in the season you called TS a 'charlatan'. No? Absolutely slated the guy.

The ‘teams like Rotherham’ tag seems to be turning on its head.
Rather than being a term of derision it’s now being used to describe a club that doesn’t cheat and mislead the football authorities

There’s still some that don’t like TS or MT

I’ve found it astonishing that people have questioned whether MT is the right person for us over the last few months
He’s not perfect, of course he’s made mistakes, sure he will wish he’d have done some things differently but none of that means he’s not the right person. It just means he’s human like the rest of us.

It’s up there with people predicting our impending relegation with 3/4 games to go when we were in a really advantageous position
    Why?
Quite a few did it on the post match inquest from the Bristol away game
Some fans seem to judge us game to game and can’t assess over long term. Bi polar syndrome
