    I think it about influencing attitudes - Tap.....happens repeatedly within any generation, to manipulate/engineer behaviour until it becomes the accepted norm - they won't even realise it - because the human sponge wants to be filled...being why an important part of controlled existence relies upon being easily receptive to divertissments, because assits in making them easily governable and gives the impression of them being the dominant collective - so stands to reason that they'll be wary of committing to opposing reason, because it isn't conveniently collaborative.
