Thread: Big Sam

    Big Sam

Was never a fan but have reassessed my opinion and whilst early days he has definitely made a difference defensively.

I also like how he picks players for certain games and roles. Playing Rasmus at CB against big forwards has been a smart move and Koch in midfield yesterday.

Very unlucky from a management perspective not to get 3 points yesterday - all down to unpredictable errors on the pitch.

Orta would never have signed him but wish we had appointed him a lot sooner seeing what he has done so far.

I never took much of a look at him over the years and believed all the dribble about him.
He has shown that he is a proper manager for any occasion.
Hope what ever happens we stick with him and trust in him.

Did want to say before, but I think Big Sam could build us a decent prem team, football might be dull at times but I think the club would be stable and not have the annual fear if relegation.

Think prem football may be a long way away for us if the 49s deal falls through

I was the complete antithesis of being a "fan" and I may at some point have questioned his intellect, eating habits and moral compass, however, I find myself moving away from bile-ridden hatred towards a position of mere disdain. In the unlikely event that he can get a positive result against Spam and the North London No-hopers, I may revise my position further and grant him "not quite so bad after all" status. I promise you that 2 weeks ago, I would NEVER have considered that possible.

Shutting the gate when Horse already bolted.

Think that covers the appointment of Fat Sam.

Don't blame him. But that will be classed as his chance I guess.
Rightly or not I expect another manager soon. Although Sam doesn't cost a fee....
Whatever the decision it needs making very quickly so the clear out can begin asap

    Agreed.

Season starts 5th August I think it is for the Championship as well so only 9 weeks to get ready for the championship.
