As most will have seen, the gambler has been given an eight month ban from football and fined £50,000. Well I think he has got off lightly. An Aussie Rugby player was banned for 96 weeks for assaulting a referee and Joey Barton was banned for 18 months for betting.
A London club as opposed to a club up north!!!! Two of the months will be closed season ffs. He should be back just in time for next seasons Euro's. It stinks and the FA need to be questioned, if it is them that made the final decision.
He will mis the two final games and will have played against all the teams in the relegation fight except Everton. Those teams need to kick up a fuss. After all it was November 22 when he was first charged and he can start training again in September. It is a complete joke....
