    Solihull

Haven't been there for years ,what a well kept town had a lovely afternoon.
Lots of places to sit , whilst my wife and sisters went in the shops.

Used to go there when I was about 20 - remember there was a nice pub called the Snooty Fox!

I used to work in Solihull at Hepworth Menswear from 81-84 and The Snooty Fox was where me and the lads spent our Friday evenings.

Always full of crumpet and I never managed to pull……not even once! 😩

That place was where the Joules shop now is at the entrance to The Touchwood Centre I believe.

Solihull is the best town in the Midlands by a mile I think but a shadow of what it was a few years ago.

John Lewis is the best thing about the place.

We go every couple of weeks, it’s the only place I will shop, I hate Merry Hill.

In contrast I was in a well known Black Country High street today - can you guess where?

I was going to say Brierley Hill but it’s not quite enough of a s h I t hole at first glance?

Not Cradley Heath is it? ( Twinned with Raqqa in Syria )

Well done Mick it was indeed Brierley Hill - that pic made it look better than it really is. Most Black Country towns these days look run down and shabby. There is just no civic pride anymore.
