A huge 'well done' to Annan

A massive congratulations to our very near neighbours Annan on their promotion last night.
Their inclusion in the First Division will add some real spice to our derby matches and the potential for some decent attendances.
Let's hope there will be no Gretna style nonsense from some quarters.
This is brilliant for our region and if a kick up the backside for Queens was ever needed, then this provides added impetus for the club to prove their credentials as the biggest team in the south of Scotland.
    C'mon the South!

Superb performance by Annan who have some decent players quite a few ex - Palmy lads amongst them. One of the strange stats that football sometimes throws up is both Annan and Clyde beat Queens in Dumfries back in July.

Delighted for Annan. Fif**** years of steady progress has paid off. They certainly deserved it over the two Clyde games. Clyde were obviously incredibly unlucky to lose three players in the first half and ran out of steam but they were so so poor. How did we lose 4 points to them and scrape by in the two wins.
At the other end I was gutted for Albion Rovers going down. There must be a few worried boards in League 2.
