Yes. I get feeling new posters may not be welcome unless they follow a certain philosophy or are afraid to speak out. It is a bit like Putins Russia, where you cannot say anything other than toeing the line or you go to goal. Sad really that a new person is unwelcome because their view differs to some.

Al has said many of the posters on here post personally to each other, that’s fine, I get it, they don’t wish to be challenged. I assume I am now being sent to Coventry. The board is about differing views and if people dominate it then the freedom of expression does not exist and that is to the detriment of the board.

You’ve posed a lyric question nobody knows the answer to……so what’s your issue?

As for members being mates and talking to each other on other forms of social media…..so what?

Various people have become good friends over nearly 20 years of posting, can you not see how natural that is?

I only personally chat with a very small number of posters and I’m mates on FB with only around 4 forum members such as Des ( WBA1955) BaggieAl, Prando and someone who used to be a mod who no longer posts.

This is a very friendly group on the whole but occasionally we get a bad egg, that’s usually down to them rather than the 99% of good people on here in my experience.

Nobody can make anyone sign into a site and read or contribute…..anyone can depart if they don’t like the vibe.
