    Lyric challenge.

    Let’s lighten the mood.

No cheating by Googling, let’s see who’s the fastest at guessing a song by its opening lyrics.

One of my favourites from 73……

I paid all my dues so I picked up my shoes,

I got up and walked away……

I think that is Giving it all away by Roger Daltrey. One of my all time favourites in the early seventies Mick.

    Very good Tip 🤩

    Here’s another from the 80’s……

When your world is full of strange arrangements,

And gravity won’t pull you through.

    Very good WCV.

    Here’s another,

Just a small town girl, living in her lonely world,

She took the late night train going anywhere!

    Nope.

It’s actually the most popular download song of the 80’s but was actually recorded in 79.

    Second line goes,

He was just a city boy, born and raised in south Detroit,

He took the midnight train going anywhere.
