    Club statement;

    https://www.afcb.co.uk/news/first-te...t-gary-o-neil/

    So he saves them from relegation, gets a squad that was misfiring working again, gets high praise and then the bullet? Sounds (A little) familiar.

    Maybe we should get him to provide his next step in his "long career as a head coach or manager"?

    Amazing that Bournemouth sack a manager in the morning and install a new manager in the afternoon, whereas our clowns sack a manager in may and still don't have one weeks later... pathetic

    And as to the rest, agree in principle, but Vardy is as much of a busted flush as Bamford, and as much use to us.

    We won't be "decisive and direct" unless and until we are rid of Radrizzani, and I suspect that won't be before the next season starts.

    Let's face it, Andoni (or whatever his name is) will have been lined up weeks ago, so the "in and out" is easy to understand. LUFC can't act "formally" until the transfer of ownership is complete as no new manager/coach will sign a contract with the current majority shareholder, knowing it's not going to be valid for more than a couple of weeks and the new owners might not have the same "view" of matters.

    The club has been put in this position for two main reasons, one long term in its source and impact, the other something that could and should have been easily avoided if the parties had been adult about the situation we found ourselves;

    1. The original deal and valuation were arrived at on the assumption we would be in the PL at takeover time, but Radrizzani and co failed to ensure that we were.

    2. Knowing by the time Marsch got the bullet that relegation was at least a possibility, the parties to the original deal failed to get round the table again in March/April and develop a "Plan B" proposal that could be agreed to in principle and put into action the day we knew we were relegated, not wait ten days while the horse trading went on.

    On the subject of who we might get, a blanket no to anyone who has not SUCCESSFULLY managed in the Championship and/or PL, preferably both (by success in the Championship particularly, I mean getting promotion as a minimum, preferably maintaining the place in the PL for several seasons subsequently).

    I'd take any of the following ; O'neil (now!) , Potter (but he won't come to LUFC at present), Corberan, Viera

    Another manager we were supposed to be keen on ( Irarola ) gets appointed. They can now get cracking on transfer business etc, but us still zooming / interviewing etc. The whole takeover needs completing, like this week, so we can do likewise.

    I suspect the club would agree, tell the EFL (as if they care!)
