I thought we might have been in for Shaughnessy, actually think he would have been a decent signing for us, as said though, this is where we are and the ridiculous hole we have got ourselves in due to gross mismanagement. Hopefully we aren't just throwing all our weight behind Goodwin using his contacts to build a squad or it will be a pretty shallow pool to pick from.

Hopefully, we have reliable scouts who have seen players playing for their clubs in the flesh, like in the old days when you can tell within minutes if they could do a job or not. None of this data credential pish that says the "keeper" is a good shot-stopper for instance. I'm convinced he is a hologram or he is auditioning for the Patrick Swayze role in Ghost.
