Ach, the only important job was done on Wednesday - the boys were (quite rightly) out on the piss on Wednesday night so nobody was taking yesterday too seriously.

If anything yesterday was job done giving celtic a free hit a getting a bit of mojo back ahead of a must win game (for us) next week.

We will go to celtic park in the first round of games next season - I will be saying something totally different if we perform like that then but yesterday they get a pass for all that they have done in the last couple of months

A disgraced StMirren ex-manager once said, "We're the luckiest team in the world, We were a disgrace of a performance.
(Willie) Miller and (Alex) McLeish won the cup for Aberdeen. Miller and McLeish played Rangers themselves. They were a disgrace of a performance.

And I'm not caring, winning cups doesn't matter. Our standards have been set long ago and we're not going to accept that from any Aberdeen team. No way should we take any glory from that."

It seems our current 'standards' are significantly lower than then to the point that we no longer seem to give a fying duck about at least trying to f'cking compete.

We just roll over and ask for a "wee belly tickle, please" ...

Aspiring to the standards of 83 and expecting to live up to said standards are two different things.

Accepting we are nowhere near those standards as fact, and regarding our current standard as acceptable, are again two different things.

Of course we want our team to at least be taking points off both the ugly sisters, and of course we want the standard of our performances to consistently match those we aspire to.

But holy fk ... Expecting/demanding that a team, half made up of loanees, with a new, relatively inexperienced manager, who has not had a proper preseason or a proper transfer window, to consistently match the standards of Ferguson's class of 83?

    Gie yersel a shakk min.

For sanity's sake, relax min. ... we got gubbed ... in a meaningless game. Nithin we can dae aboot it ither than move on and hope Robson can learn fae the losses, build on the wins and use the summer tae improve the current squad ... and maybe then we can realistically set a benchmark regardin' acceptable standards.

Tae repeat that glorious phrase Ah read for the first time on this forum ...

"Ye can only pish wi' the cock ye hiv!"
