    Using Chelsea as an example Andy… they have won multiple Premier Leagues and even the Champions League in the not too distant future, and are expected to finish in the top 4… and because of success over a prolonged period they have secured sponsors at all different levels to be able to support spending .

    Their recent splurge has been spread over 8 year contracts in a lot of cases… net spend per year isn’t that high… we paid up front for Gordon… they probably brought in 5 or 6 players with the same… but have a commitment of that each season going forward for another 7 years.

    There’s no conspiracy, there is no preferential treatment… they, like the rest of the club have a max of 105m losses over a rolling 3 year period in addition to spending profit… they are just a far more profitable club at the moment.

    Yeah, that's the truth. Chelsea have blown Billions. We're not even sure what their ownership of Vitesse Arnhem and the money/player laundry.

    We'll be playing by the rules and doing it better.
