Dundee Football Club Limited annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2022

I enclose the filing history of Dundee Football Club Limited from the Companies House website which includes the annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2022. https://find-and-update.company-info...filing-history
The Club made a loss of £892,440.
Item 4 - Staff Costs also make interesting reading as they have increased by over £1,300,000 compared to the year ending 31st May 2021.

Well that tells us why Bowyer had to go then.

Not sure you can make that assumption Deeranged. 16 more people employed seems odd.

These annual accounts are for the year ending 31st May 2022 which was before Gary Bowyer was appointed manager of Dundee Football Club.
It covers the period when McPake was sacked and Gordon Strachan’s friend Mark McGhee was appointed manager until the end of the 2021-22 season.

It looks like the Dundee FC board of directors had decided to bury the bad news of the annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2022 being published on the Companies House website on the same day as Tony Docherty was announced as the new Dundee FC manager.
The 2022 annual accounts were signed by J Nelms on 6th May 2023 which is the day after we defeated Queens Park to win automatic promotion to the Premier League next season.
The section Going Concern also makes worrying reading.
It states that the financial trading accounts for 2022/23 and 2023/24 will be no better that the annual accounts for the year ending 31st May 2022.
So much for Nelms stating that Dundee Football Club has to break even.

I can only assume that the number of staff employed were reduced as we came out of Covid with only 500 spectators being able to attend the home playoff game against Kilmarnock FC. Prior to that no spectators had been permitted to attend home games that season apart from a handful of Dundee FC staff.
