A buddy of mine is an ex-player not high level but decent, these days he works in the football industry. He's got mates are agents and some top players. We were out in Dubai before Covid with some of the lads. I had a good chat, whilst smoking cigars, with a dude who represents Arabic players from North African countries. You'd know their names they play in Spain, Italy and some English clubs.

During that chat he was showing me WhatsApps and telling me stories. Some of the **** he was telling me was insane.

Some of the stories that never make the press that were whispers he said were not exactly true but equally f'd up in different ways.

Top teams have 'fixers' who go around and clean up messes players make. Some murky $hit goes on but money talks and makes this go away very quickly.
