I’ve watched that YouTube clip a hundred times or more.

I’m too young to remember them at their 1966 peak although I did love the rerelease of Itchycoo Park in the mid 70’s.

Steve Marriott was a fabulous front man, I suspect that people like Paul Weller and Liam Gallagher must’ve been inspired by him.

    Superb track.

The 60s had music for everyone, great soul, Sinatra, Elvis ,Lois Armstrong and the Beatles etc.
I would say my favourite decade for music and the Albion.

The 70’s for me in every respect Lloyd which likely fits with our 8 year age difference.

60’s for me, but as you say mick, it’s an age thing. As for the Small Faces, one of my favourite bands in that era.

Its a toss up for me whether Marriott or Terry Reid took the mantle of best rock vocalist ever. I plumb for Reid but there ain't nothing between them to be honest. Both exceptional, tragic what happened to Marriott but Terry is still singing to this day and although the power of his voice is naturally reduced he can still hold a note. Honoured to say I chatted for a while with Terry and he came over as a really nice guy who was more than happy to chat.
