The valley was a massive stadium ( used to see it from train early 1980's ) which fell into disarray
mid 1980's. There are photos of it with bonfires and discarded sainsburys trolleys on the pitch whilst kids are having a kickabout !
Some nice pubs in Greenwich plus National maritime museum, cutty sark and prime meridian etc.
Charlton itself has had investment and been upgraded to a sh!thole
Tempted to go down and revisit a few old haunts ( those that haven't been knocked down

Nae bloody west coast trains that day. Flying down Saturday morning to Gatwick then flying back up Saturday night. Could be interesting trying to get on the flight home after a whole day on it

Ah well , good luck with that ? Mind your wee adventure trying to get from Perth to Glasgow , and with tenants guidance going via Edinburgh after midnight.
Gatwick ? You could end up anywhere ?!!!

Right. Sorted. Room in some Gadgies Hoose for £153 the Friday/Saturday

Kings though , some mental prices for some places close to the O2 Arena ..,.

Aye digs were affa expensive. Bit the bullet with a flight back up to Edinburgh. Was nearly the old overnight megabus at £14!!!

Coincides with the last day of a week in Cornwall so will either be a very early start or truncating the holiday by a night. Have started warming the missus up to those options as not going to miss out on the Dons so close to home!
